Born in California to the raw edged sounds of early Punk and the metallic screeching of Heavy Metal, it wasn't until moving to Florida that Pipedream first experienced the innovative frequencies of Electronic music.

Always living on the fringes, he dove into the depths of electronic sound grasping on to (then) small cult bands such as KMFDM, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, and Fear Factory. In 1996 he began focusing on the electronic sounds that lie at the root of these groups, which led to the frequent habit of finessing his way into the many clubs of the Florida break beat scene.

He was hooked.

Through the gateway of Florida Acid Breaks, and then Trance, Pipedream soon found himself immersed at break-neck speed in the culture of Techno.

In 1998 Pipedream re-located to Eugene Oregon to attend the University of Oregon to pursue his interest of Fine Arts and Graphic Design. While Eugene presented a much more restrained musical scene than Florida- The presence of family and community was more prevalent and noticeable, due to the smaller scale of things. It also gave Pipedream the chance to hone his musical craft to a razor sharp edge.

After attending a few events here and there, he quickly connected up with local promoters "Real Kidz," who ran one of the most celebrated and popular dance night series, Magical Thursday, in Southern Oregon. Linking with this crew gained him much insight into the methodology of how dance music events were put together from the ground up, and was a valuable conduit to other producers and promoters throughout the Northwest region.

Pipedream's main influences are 303 acid driven sounds, ranging from the funk of hard acid breaks, to the blistering beats of hard Acid Techno and Acid Trance.

The incorporation of all this has brought Pipedream to his current blend of Hard Trance and Hard Techno rhythms.
